Lanolin Paint Underbody 20L Drum
This product is made and developed by Craig @Buzzweld HQ in Bristol. The product basis is unique to other lanolin products out there (this is the first lanolin underbody Paint we are aware of).
The aim of this coating is to be fully customiseable for any colour, and be cost effective alternitive to other tintable underbody coatings out there.
Product Pro's
- Easy to use, especially for brushing
- Infused with Lanolin anti-corrosive
- Infused with Zinc anti-corrosive
- Cheap! we aim to make this product as cheap as we possibly can whilst fulfilling the product criteria.
- Great for topping up existing treatments new and old, and can be top coated with Chassis Guard
- Works with all of our exisitng primers for additional protection (not required).
- Hydrophobic to shed water and minimise latent moisture build up
- Available in any colour
- Great as a cavity treatment with great rust penetration and creep (aerosols only)
Cons
- Its a budget underbody coating with good performance all round.
- Not an overly hard coating. whilst this is perfect for underbody, people tend to want mega hard coatings that tend to chip. Lanolin paint is designed to not chip where possible, but may tarnish.
- Slow cure. As a result of us minimising the VOC content this product takes a good 6 hours to touch dry. ideally needs longer before use such as 24 hours.
- Solvent based.
Useage
- Remove any mud, dirt contamination
- key and prepare the area to dull finish
- Stripe coat (see blog)
- apply 2 or more coats to ensure coating is fully covering with a good film build.
- We recommend visual inspections are placed every 6<12 months for higher wear areas such as backs of wheel arches, and the rear 1/4 of most vehicles.
- Perfect coating to be coated with chassis guard once done.
Please note. you will receive
1x 18000ML Lanolin paint "clear"
1x 2000ML tint pot. Mix the tint into the Lanolin paint container at 10%. so Example 900ML Lanolin paint to 100ML tint. If you purchase more than one tin of lanolinpaint we will combine the tint into one bigger tin, so you may want to purchase some Measuring cups at the same time.
