Chassis Guard Lanolin Oil Underbody 2.5L Spraying Kit
Ready to spray 2.5L kit of chassis guard including trigger sprayer
This product is made and developed by Craig @Buzzweld HQ in Bristol. The product basis is slightly different to other lanolin products out there (the main carrier is certainly different). We have not used "Lan" or "lanolin" in the product name. We have done this because we believe in creating unique products that sell on their merits alone, instead of copying other brands successes.
The aim of this coating is to typically last 6>12 months, but be more economical than other coatings for this duration. We are trying to get a protected vehicle cost down from around £70 a year, to closer to £15>£20.
Benefits of Chassis Guard
- 6>12 month protection prior to topup
- Cheap! we aim to make this product as cheap as we possibly can whilst fulfilling the product criteria.
- Great for topping up existing treatments new and old
- High penetration into existing corrosion
- Hydrophobic to shed water and minimise latent moisture build up
- Easy to remove
- Non Toxic
- Safe over sealed electrical connections/ wiring loom
- Fully Biodegradeable
- Ultra Low VOC, and absolutely minimised harmful emissions during curing
- Clear so you visually inspect the substrate
- Superb as a wood treatment / preservative
- Plant based. Not petro chemical based*
- Safe on rubber and plastics- Chassis guard actually nourishes and rejuvenates them.
- anti- corrosive Tool Wipe (this product has been sold as "Tool Wipe" for over a year currently)
- Re clarifies headlights
- Restores deep colour on paints, especially bedlinens
- Can be used as an oil based paint additive (use tinned for up to 5%) for better flow and anti corrosive characteristics)
- Great as a cavity treatment with great rust penetration and creep
- Cost effective enough to use for a multitude of things, even cleaning surfaces
- Drives heavy corrosion from the base steel over time
- Superb patina preserver
Drawbacks of Chassis Guard
- Clear- we have no plans or intention to release a coloured version. This product is aimed squarely at low cost protection vs time. Nothing else.
- Slow cure. As a result of us minimising the VOC content this product takes a good 12 hours to touch dry. ideally needs longer before use such as 24 hours.
How to use Chassis Guard
- Remove any mud
- Heavier corrosion can be removed to increase product penetration, or can be left and topped up later on be aware that large lumps of rust (delamination) can come off and not be fully penetrated. If you treat a vehicle with lumps of rust, ensure you inspect and topup more often whilst the corrosion is driven off the base metal by Chassis Guard over time.
- 3>6 month protection apply one heavier coat and fully seal the surface.
- 6>12 month protection, apply one full covering coat, and leave for 48 hours or more. Then apply a full second "heavy" coat. protect from getting wet, and allow to become touch dry prior to use
- We recommend visual inspections are placed every 3 months for higher wear areas such as backs of wheel arches, and the rear 1/4 of most vehicles.
Whilst Chassis Guard is largely made of food grade, or derived from food grade materials, do not ingest it and take steps to not breath it in. Such PPE as a dust mask, goggles and gloves are recommended.
Application / mixing of Chassis Guard
*Hand sprayers contain 10>15% white spirit currently.

This product is great value. I have proofed my RAV4 and Land Cruiser and still have loads left.
As it is cold weather best to put container in hot water to thin down a bit, helps with sprayi g.
Make sure that you do not get any on hot bits, smells a bit when warm!

Tried to use this product yesterday. Unfortunately the sprayer supplied is so bad I cannot use the product in the current form. Basically it sprays a single jet or nothing. You cannot adjust it to get a "mist" spray which makes it almost impossible to apply. Shame really, I will try and buy a separate sprayer to enable me to apply it to the underside of the car.

Response:
Hi Mark. Sorry to hear you are having issues with your sprayer. We have sold 1000's of these kits and this is only the second time we have had a customer with an issue.
The coating is going to be thicker at lower temperatures, and does need adjusting almost to closed to achieve a mist spray.
Procedure is.
Prime the sprayer by opening the nozzle.
Once the product is primed and spraying as a jet, screw the nozzle back on alsmot to clsoed to get the misting pattern.
If the misting pattern does not happen, pull the tirgger a buit harder, but also ensure the product is warm. as said we do not really get this issue, but temperature could cause the product to be a little thcikerm, especially in our current very low termperatures.
If this is the case, please get a bucket of very hot water, and putthe container in it. Leave for 5>10 minutes, and then shake well. you will then need to spray out the cool product from the tube, and it will then start to mist.
Any problems we are here to support you, so please call us 01454315588 06:30 > 14:30, or email us on our contact form. Regards, Craig.

Bought this as an alternative the lanoguard which I have used in the past. Approximately half the price and in my opinion works just as well. Used about 1.25 litres to treat the underside my wrangler jeep so have enough to redo next year. Great product and good price.

Having read many good reviews about Buzzweld products i thought i’d try the Chassis guard Lanolin oil spraying kit, have to say im impressed with the product up to now. Very easy and quick to apply and no blocking or farmyard smell unlike another company’s product which i’ve previously used. It leaves a great water repellent finish. Early days to see how it lasts but as it’s so easy to apply i would have no problems topping it up as recommended. Arrived within 3 days from ordering and good communication after ordering. will definitely use buzzweld products again.

Easily as good as the brand name one. Soaking in to joints well and setting to a wax coating.

First time using this product, and have used other “more expensive” lanolin based protection before. I’m definitely going to stick with this one for a while, easy to apply. No smell, and quick curing. Another great product from buzzweld 😁

My first time purchase and use of Chassis Guard. Delivery was next day, very well packaged with full user guide included. I have used a few different brands including the old traditional wax oil based stuff, however they now cost a small fortune, and trying to preserve 3 1980's Japanese motors is a never ending battle against corrosion. I have applied chassis guard to one as a 'test' and will see how it goes after a winter on East Yorkshire B and minor roads covered in mud, salt and god knows what else!
