GIO  Chassis kits are the easiest and most effective way to paint and protect your galvanised chassis. These all inclusive kits include everything you need to get your chassis protected and looking AMAZING!

Application Preparation (All Kits)

1. Apply fxdegreaser through a snow foam, brush / roller, pressure sprayer, or schutz gun.
2. Allow to soak for 5>10 minutes, and wash off with preferably warm plain water
3. Scuff the galvanised finish to remove surface crud using the Nylon Filament brush set

Process Aerosol

4. Invert can and clear nozzle after shaking

5. Apply the entire kit in even overlapping coats

Process Schutz

4. Mix / Shake schutz well, add thinner if required

5. Screw FX11 gun to can, and set pressure at gun to 75PSI

6. Point gun at test piece and depress trigger

7. Unscrew nozzle until paint comes out sufficiently

8. Apply to chassis in even overlapping coats

9. Ensure paint does not fingerprint mark prior to applying subsequent coats

Process Brush / Roller

4. Mix paint well, and decant to roller tray (add up to 5% thinner if a little thick

5. Using angled brush apply to all edges and hard to reach areas

6. Using roller fill in all areas

7. Ensure paint does not fingerprint mark prior to applying subsequent coats

Process HVLP

4.Mix paint well, and decant to mixing cup, add 10% thinners and attempt sprayout.

5. Add up to 5% more thinner  if paint is coming out very slow or a little "dry"

6. Set fan according to instuctions to about half way

7. Apply in even overlapping coats.

8. It is important to lay up at least 3 decent coats using HVLP to achieve sufficient paint. for a defender 90 sized chasssi you should be using a minimum of 4 liters

9. Ensure paint does not fingerprint mark prior to applying subsequent coats

Painting Axles and want it all to match?

If you want to paint your axles as well Rust Encapsulator will allow the GIO to bond correctly and protect the steel. You will want to order around 1 liter of that.
