Chassis Paint Black Satin CIO Chassis In One
Targeted at our customers who want a simple, medium term (up to 10 years estimated) solution for protection of Chassis and Underbody compared to our extreme 4 coat dual product system.
Buzzweld CIO is a high adhesion Corrosion stabilising primer and top coat in one.
Buzzweld CIO system requires just two coats to protect your chassis (brush/ schutz applied, more for other application methods)
Benefits-
- Contains self-leafing glass flake for extreme abrasion resistance compared to standard coatings.
- Double acting on rust! The only coating in the world we are aware of that is both Rust Stabilising, and high in zinc content.
- Contains a corrosion inhibiting pigment for class leading, rust prevention by stabilising corrosion to a lower reacting form
- Over coating times are as little as 30 minutes, meaning no breaks required between coats in most situations.Designed from the ground up for hand prepared steel.
- Primer, and top coat in one. You save significant amounts of time and money with this system that will still outlast most competitors (not our extreme system).
- Low Satin / matt finish for oem look.
- Suitable for over-painting firmly adherent existing rust.
Chemically modifies rust over time.

Thinning
Product Types
1000ml Paint Tin
Normal paint tin for brush / roller / thinning and spraying
1000ML Schutz Undercoating Tin
Stubby Schutz Tin. These tins work with our FX10 Spraygun & FX11 Spraygun. The gun screws directly on. To use a normal Schutz gun with a stubby schutz tin, you need to trim the pickup tube 75mm shorter.
5000ml Paint Tin
Normal paint tin for brush / roller / thinning and spraying
400ML Aerosol (traditional)
Traditional aerosol.
400ML Buzzweld Powercan The Aerosol powercan uses NO THINNER. as a result the can outputs the same amount of paint as a spraygun. This means less coats, a much higher film build and time saved. HOWEVER- the cans empty themselves very quickly. Protection VS coverage. When using a powercan you need to spray from further away. This can can also be used as a textured bedliner spray (comes with two nozzles).
Excellent coverage and just as expected. 03 October 2024 | Robert
I purchased 4 Shultz tins for the undercarriage job on my car having been looking at using what is described as one of the best chassis paints for some time, a paint that Many 4x4 owners swear by. The cartridges arrived, were very well packaged and within no time I had a good day to get the stuff sprayed on using a Shultz gun. The 4 cartridges were enough to do a large vehicle with plenty of coverage and it went on well with no issues , will recommend, and hopefully the paint will do its job for many years ahead.

Good tough chassis paint. 30 August 2024 | Lee
I’ve previously used 2K bed liner over epoxy for chassis and suspension parts, but have always found it chips easily. I bought CIO purely because of its glass flake additive and have found it tough as nails. It sprays very nicely thinned 10% through a 1.7 tip.

I purchased CIO on recommendation from a friend and I’m not disappointed, I’m in the process of renovating my landrover discovery 3 and after cleaning and using rust encapsulator it’s the perfect paint for the chassis and under floor of my landrover. It’s making it look years younger underneath.

Far better to work with than other products 27 May 2024 | Chris
I've used a number of other similar products over the years, but since someone told me about CIO, I've got to say, this is, hands down, the best. Application was quick and easy, and less messy than other alternatives. Highly recomended.

Rear chassis rails under the garage area looked a bit tatty with surface rust. No structural issues. Removed the surface rust and repainted with a brush using CIO. Excellent result visually and easy to use. Dries very quickly so its easy to complete the job in one stretch.
